The TMS PTSA a volunteer led 501c3 non-profit organization (6.10.68) whose mission and purpose is to support all students, staff, and parents.

The TMS PTSA is looking for Volunteers to fill these Roles for 2026-2027:

Committee Positions

6th Grade Party Chair(s)

 

Help our newest grade get to know each other and kick off their middle school experience with a fun, memorable celebration! The party will be held in the evening on campus at the end of October 2026

PTSA will provide a full budget and a wealth of resources and materials to help with planning. There is no set time commitment for this role—the amount of time needed will depend on the number of volunteers and how quickly the group makes decisions. The chair(s) will recruit and manage volunteers, delegate tasks, coordinate logistics, and host virtual planning meetings to keep everyone on the same page. Regular communication with the PTSA and strong organization skills are a plus!

8th Grade Party Chair(s)

 

Help celebrate our 8th graders as they wrap up their final year of middle school! Plan and coordinate a fun, memorable end-of-year celebration that gives students a chance to celebrate their friendships and make lasting memories before heading to high school. The party will take place in June 2027 off-campus.

End of Year PTSA Awards Committee - Multiple Open Positions

Help recognize and celebrate the amazing individuals who make a difference at TMS! The PTSA presents three annual awards: Golden Acorn, Golden Apple, and Outstanding Advocate, recognizing exceptional service, educational impact, and advocacy within the TMS community.

Committee members will manage the nomination process, confidentially review nominations submitted by students, families, and staff, select award recipients, and coordinate with the PTSA to prepare for the awards presentation at the final end-of-year assembly. This is a great opportunity for multiple volunteers to work together to shine a light on the people who make TMS a special community! Estimated time commitment is 5-10 hours total between May to June 2027.

Nominating Committee Members - Multiple Open Positions

Help shape the future of TMS PTSA by helping identify and nominate members of our community who would be great candidates for elected PTSA leadership positions. Committee members will meet confidentially, review nominations, connect with potential candidates, and work together to recommend a slate of qualified nominees for the upcoming school year.

This is a collaborative role that’s a great fit for someone who enjoys getting to know people and can approach conversations with thoughtfulness, discretion, and an open mind. The committee consists of three elected members and completes its work before the annual PTSA election (late May 2027). Estimated time commitment: 5–10 hours throughout the school year, with the majority of the work taking place in May 2027.
